Plan was to cap open entrance more as last time we left it a bit of a thrutch. Had everythiung to hand except firing pin so job scuppered. Couple of hours therefore spent moving boulders and mud, hammering calcite in an effort to reduce the slope of the debris cone obscuring the hopedfor continuing rift. Surprisingly, we got an outward blowing draft through a fist sized hole hinting that indeed there was a rift to be chased.
Friday 22nd February 2008 Richard Mercer, Richard Bendall. Return to sort out entrance. 4 holes suitably placed opened up the top part of the entrance and decission to leave the lower bedding in place to aid free climb out. If you can’t get through this bit you won’t get through the next squeeze!
