Bill and Dave went to Gavel Pot this Sunday (17th October 2004), we had a jolly good look round, particularly in the area of Glasfurd’s Chamber and Southbound Passage. Phil, when did you visit Gavel? What do you remember as the end? We started digging just where a small calcite bridge was, and where there was a chisel left on top. This was just before a right hand bend. We were able to dig the left and right hand walls and the floor simply by using the chisel. Does this fit in with your recollections?
