Monday 9th Jan 2007 Rich B, Dave R, Emma Matindale Had a quick dig in the floor of this pothole, near where the water sinks, after 1m or so we exposed a draughting hole above a caveable 2m deep shaft. Need to enlarge the entry point to the shaft togain entry but it looks very promising. Dave

Thursday 11th January 2007 Dave Ramsay, Richard Bendall……..later THE DARK LORD! A couple more difficult rounds but then the doors were open to 2m pot with many thin beds which were easily knocked off to create space. Ahead, bedding 2-3ft wide 6-10 inch high with mud floor eminated strong draft. Next visit, capping roof bedding should allow access and view ahead. Apparently, blessed with the approval from the Dark Lord himself! Now who sold their soul?

Monday 15th January 2007 Dave Ramsay, Emme Martindale, Richard Bendall A good day to learn tha dark arts so Emma became cappers apprentice whilst Dave went and rigged Deaths Head(so when we break through into the unknown we know what pitch lengths to expect!). 2m pot enlarged for efficient bucket hauling then off to do Deaths Head. Thursday 18th January 2007 Dave Ramsay, Richard Bendall. Continued to cap out roof bedding but also started on the floor. Nearly at corner where it cuts down to the next bedding and runs to the right. Going should get easier. Echoie dripping ahead!

Monday 22nd January 2007 Dave Ramsay, richard Bendall. Only 10 holes and my drill packed in. Probably bushes gone as power slowly declined. Back to cars to swap drill for Dave’s which had done exactly the same thing last Thursday but Dave believed he had given it the kiss of life. Two holes only and Dave’s drill packed in!
