Following on from James and Paul’s discovery of a 25′ aven (Pit Pot)in the Far Streamway yesterday, James, Dom Clayton and Myself made a return visit to try and reach the passage visible at the top. 4hrs spent bolting paid off when James passed a tight squeeze at the top to enter 4m of small, well calcited passage ending at a soft calcite constriction. Saturday 20th Jan. George North, Dom Clayton, Dave Thompson, James Carlisle. Grrr… another fine lead down the khazi. Under an hour of hacking allowed George to push through the constriction and into the chamber ahead. This turned out to be quite large, with almost room to sit-up in one place.
